From August 1 to 23, 2025, Edinburgh (Scotland) hosted one of the world's most prestigious music events - the 75th Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

This remarkable event featured the Ukrainian Navy Band, bringing the melody of freedom and strength of our nation to the heart of Scotland.

Accompanied by Ukrainian marches, folk tunes, and modern arrangements, the military musicians from Odesa showcased not only their professional skill but also the indomitable spirit of a nation fighting for its homeland.

The audience greeted the Ukrainian ensemble's performance with thunderous applause, while the blue and yellow colors became symbols of courage and hope on the grand stage in front of Edinburgh Castle.

The Ukrainian Navy Band emerged victorious at the festival, receiving the prestigious honor sword.

On August 24, Ukraine's Independence Day, a unique event took place in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace. For the first time, the Ukrainian naval band performed alongside the Scottish Guard band during the ceremonial changing of the guard.

As a gesture of friendship and strong ties between Ukraine and Great Britain, the ensembles performed the globally renowned piece Stand By Me by Ben E. King. Thousands of spectators witnessed this moving symbol of support and unity.

The joint march from Wellington Barracks to Buckingham Palace and the subsequent performance became not only part of the official ceremony but also a historic recognition of Ukraine on the world stage.

For Ukraine, this was not just a cultural event but also a diplomatic gesture: to convey the truth of our struggle and dignity through music.

The warrior-musicians once again proved that Ukrainian culture can speak a language understood by all - the language of the heart.
