Last week, Odesa welcomed representatives from European institutions — the European Union Ambassador to Ukraine, Ms. Katarina Maternova, and the head of the regional office of the European Investment Bank for Eastern Europe, Kristina Mikulova.

During their working visit, the delegation learned about the operations of the Odesa Electric Transport Company and toured the electric transport museum, where a brief excursion was provided.

Last year, as part of the «Ukrainian Urban Public Transport» project, with funding from the European Investment Bank, new multi-section Tatra trams were acquired.

These trams currently operate on route No. 7, offering comfortable transportation for the residents of Odesa.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of current and future initiatives aimed at modernizing urban transport and enhancing its efficiency and environmental sustainability.

This visit marked a significant step in strengthening the partnership between Odesa, the European Union, and the European Investment Bank in the field of sustainable urban development.
