As autumn arrives, rain, wind, and fallen leaves present additional challenges for municipal services. Workers are diligently cleaning the streets of Odessa.
Eight teams from the Municipal Enterprise «City Roads» are deployed on the streets, ensuring that rainwater drains effectively. They clear the stormwater grates of fallen leaves and debris brought by rain.
Today, 46 units of specialized machinery and 328 workers are involved in these tasks.
The cleaning of the stormwater drainage system is performed both manually and with heavy equipment from «City Roads»: excavators, graders, high-pressure hydraulic units based on MAN trucks for flushing pipes, trucks, and other specialized machinery.
Workers from the «Housing and Communal Services» also clear the grates near buildings, sweep, and remove fallen leaves and trash from their designated areas.
About 180 workers from the Municipal Enterprise «City Green Trust» maintain order in the city's green spaces daily. Due to the bad weather, 3 trees have already fallen, and many small branches have been broken off by the wind.
The landscapers are engaged in cutting and removing fallen trees and branches while also sweeping and collecting fallen leaves from parks and squares.
