The Mayor of Odessa held an on-site meeting to assess the status of restoration work in a building that was damaged during a Russian attack on March 2.

«Everyone who applied for the eRecovery program has received compensation for repairs or certificates for purchasing housing. The restoration is ongoing, although not as quickly as we would like due to the lengthy building procedures. I am grateful to our partners – charitable organizations and community groups,» said Gennady Trukhanov.

The Mayor expressed his gratitude to the charity funds "Reach for the Sky", "Morning of Revival", the NGO "April 10th", and UNHCR for their ongoing support and provision of construction materials.

The restoration work is being carried out by the management company "Clever" with the support and coordination of Veronica Etnarovich, the advisor to the Odessa Mayor on humanitarian issues.

So far, tons of debris have been removed from the apartments. The roof above the last entrance and the entrance itself from the first to the ninth floor has been repaired.

Additionally, landscaping has been completed around the impact site, where people continue to leave flowers. On March 2, 2024, as a result of the Russian attack, 12 people lost their lives, including five children.
