Alexander Filatov, the First Deputy Mayor of Odessa, welcomed participants of the 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference «Innovative Technologies in Urban Planning».
The event took place from October 24 to 26 at the Odessa State Academy of Construction and Architecture.
Opening the conference, Filatov emphasized that in light of the armed aggression from Russia, the city authorities face significant challenges in restoring damaged and destroyed properties, many of which are architectural and historical landmarks.
«But equally important today is the planning of territories and the development of urban planning documentation regarding how they should look after the end of hostilities. Scientific developments that incorporate the experience of professionals and the implementation of innovative technologies are essential. I hope the outcomes of this conference will provide materials that will aid in the further recovery of our city and country», - highlighted the First Deputy Mayor.
The 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference was organized by the Odessa State Academy of Construction and Architecture with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre, the Odessa City Council, Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (Poland), and other partners.
