Safety Education for Students: New Initiatives

image

As part of a collaborative initiative between the National Police of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service, supported by UNICEF, students from grades 4-5 at Odessa Lyceum No. 71 participated in a mobile safety class.

The main focus of the event was on fire and mine safety. During the meeting, representatives from the SES explained to the children the importance of following safety rules in hazardous situations.

The students learned how to prevent fires, what to do in case of a fire outbreak, and about explosive objects, their identification, and the protocol to follow if such items are discovered.

The event was held in an engaging interactive format where students not only listened to experts but also participated in practical exercises, examined visual examples, and asked questions.

Such educational initiatives foster a culture of safe behavior among children and equip them with the skills to respond appropriately in critical situations.
