As part of the latest phase of Ukraine's recovery program, implemented by the government in collaboration with the European Investment Bank, the Ministry of Health has approved plans for the renovation of the surgical pavilion at City Clinical Hospital No. 1 (Jewish Hospital) in Odessa.

This pavilion is an important architectural landmark and one of the most beautiful buildings in the hospital complex.

The renovation project includes roof replacement, facade restoration, gate refurbishment, installation of wrought iron fencing around entrances, and artistic lighting for the facades and archway.

Additionally, a comprehensive update of the interior spaces will be carried out to meet modern standards. Special medical panels will be used to enhance patient comfort and staff efficiency. Plans also include replacing internal engineering systems such as ventilation, water supply, sewage, electrical supply, and oxygen supply, as well as installing new medical equipment in the operating rooms.

Under the recovery program, capital repairs to the heating supply systems are also being conducted, with a modular boiler house being installed to serve as the primary heat source for the hospital, while the city's heating networks will serve as a backup.

The boiler house will operate in automatic mode, eliminating the need for constant personnel presence. It will be equipped with fire alarm systems, emergency alert systems, and gas concentration monitoring systems with remote signal transmission capabilities.

Moreover, renovation of other hospital buildings is ongoing, financed by the Odessa city budget.

In order to enhance rehabilitation capabilities, repairs are being made to the former Utility Building, where a new rehabilitation department is planned.

The two-story building will accommodate 20 beds, two sanitary blocks designed for the needs of individuals with limited mobility, a physiotherapy room, an assistive technology office, and therapy rooms.

Additionally, a project has been developed for the construction of a civil protection facility for 375 people, equipped with three operating rooms and 20 beds for critically ill patients to ensure safe conditions for patients and medical staff.
