On October 29, 2025, an important seminar took place in Odesa, focusing on the latest advancements in breast and lung cancer therapy.

This event, organized in collaboration with the Odesa City Health Department and professional associations, marked a significant step in the continuous education of medical practitioners.

During the seminar, key issues related to early diagnosis and prevention of oncological diseases were discussed, alongside new achievements in lung cancer treatment and support for palliative patients.

According to last year's data, over 47,000 cancer patients are registered in Odesa, including 168 children, highlighting the critical need for preventive measures.

The Health Department has launched the project “Odesa Against Cancer,” aimed at improving access to cancer diagnostics and treatment, as well as raising awareness about the importance of early detection.

Weekly preventive screenings have been initiated, significantly increasing the number of individuals undergoing cancer screenings.

In the first half of 2025, more than 30,000 preventive examinations were conducted in Odesa's medical facilities, leading to the discovery of 300 new suspected cancer cases.

Experts have developed patient roadmaps for timely prevention and early detection of oncological diseases, accessible via QR codes.

Informational posters are placed at bus stops and advertising boards to widely disseminate information about early cancer diagnosis opportunities.
