Diving as a Path to Rehabilitation for People with Disabilities

The team from "Diesel Show" is actively involved in rehabilitating individuals with disabilities in Odessa.

Diving represents a new opportunity for recovery and rehabilitation for persons with disabilities.

Underwater, a person experiences a sensation of lightness, as if their body weight has disappeared, which is particularly crucial for those who have undergone amputations. Water alleviates strain on joints and muscles, allowing for relaxation while enabling training. Each movement underwater becomes smoother and more controlled, which aids in improving coordination.

"By utilizing available resources like the sea and fresh air, along with the involvement of specialists, we have managed to create conditions for training in open water diving. During one of the dives, the "Diesel Show" team joined us, helping our veterans interact confidently and enjoyably with the instructors," noted Vasyl Rybak, the head of the rehabilitation service of the city's Department of Health.

Additionally, the show's artists attended a session of adaptive billiards.
