Last year, more than 2500 cystoscopic examinations were conducted in medical institutions in Odessa. Cystoscopy — is a procedure that allows for the examination of the mucous membrane of the urinary tract, including the urethra, bladder, and ureters, to detect oncological diseases at early stages.
For individuals over the age of 50, it is recommended to undergo cystoscopy on a planned basis, even in the absence of any complaints. If a patient is under 50 but the doctor deems cystoscopy necessary, they should obtain a referral and schedule an appointment at a medical facility that offers cystoscopy.
This procedure is included in the state medical guarantee program and is performed free of charge with a referral from a family doctor or treating physician.
Modern cystoscopy equipment has been purchased for medical institutions in Odessa using city budget funds. Patients can undergo the procedure for free by making an appointment at the following addresses:
- Consultative and Diagnostic Center No. 6 — 26a Dobrovoltsiv St. (Marshal Hovorov);
- City Clinical Hospital No. 10 — 61 Oleksiy Vadatursky St. (Marshal Malynovsky);
