Last year, medical facilities in Odesa conducted 13,400 mammographic examinations, during which over 500 cases of suspected oncological diseases were identified. Women with detected abnormalities were referred for further consultations with specialists.

Mammography is a crucial screening method that allows for the early detection of breast tumors and timely identification of precancerous conditions. Women over 40 are advised to undergo mammography annually, even in the absence of complaints.

Free mammography is part of the state medical guarantee program and is funded by the National Health Service of Ukraine for women aged 40 and above, based on a referral from their family or treating physician.
