The company "Ukrenergo" has denied rumors regarding the potential return of electricity outages.
According to their press service, misleading information is circulating via some media and Telegram channels.
"It is important to highlight that there are currently no restrictions on electricity consumption. These are merely rumors," the statement reads.
However, the company emphasizes that there is a genuine need for energy conservation due to ongoing repair work on energy facilities following the attacks.
With the drop in temperatures across Ukraine, electricity consumption has surged as many people turn on heaters and other electrical devices.
Additionally, with the end of the heating season, some generation facilities have ceased operations as they cannot function without thermal energy.
The weather also impacts electricity production, particularly cloudy conditions reduce the efficiency of solar power plants.
In light of this, "Ukrenergo" urges consumers to reduce the use of high-power appliances and avoid using multiple devices simultaneously from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
As a reminder, due to a significant drop in temperature, electricity consumption as of April 7 exceeded the previous day’s level by 16%.
On April 8, consumption remained high, and at 9:30 AM was 2.3% higher compared to the same time the previous day.
