In Turkey, the Ukrainian delegation met with representatives from four countries to align their positions before discussions with Russia.
This was reported by Andriy Yermak, the head of the President's Office.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, and Yermak are currently visiting Turkey. Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the initiation of negotiations with the U.S. and Turkish delegations.
According to Yermak, they met with U.S. President's special representative Keith Kellogg, the British Prime Minister's national security advisor Jonathan Powell, France's diplomatic advisor Emmanuel Bonne, and the German Chancellor's foreign policy and security advisor Günter Sauter.
During the meeting, they coordinated their positions prior to the Ukrainian and Russian delegations' meeting in Istanbul.
"Ukraine is ready for peace and an unconditional ceasefire. The Ukrainian delegation is in Istanbul to achieve this – it is our top priority," Yermak summarized.
