On the night of May 1, 2025, a significant drone attack on Odessa resulted in damage to a residential building on Prince Yaroslav the Wise Avenue. An expert assessment concluded that the structure was deemed emergency.

Work is currently underway to stabilize the building. Odessa's mayor, Gennady Trukhanov, held a meeting and inspected the progress of the work.

«Since May 16, a large crane has been operating at the site. Emergency works have been completed, and stabilization of the building is ongoing. According to the plan, residents of the first entrance will be able to return to their apartments by June 10,» said the mayor.

Regarding the second entrance, which was hit by the enemy drone, a project for major repairs will be developed after the emergency work and stabilization are completed, determining the necessary funds for rebuilding.

Marina Lozovenko, head of the Kyiv district administration, reported that residents of the building are being offered compensation from the city budget for housing rental during this period.

Additionally, city council advisor Veronika Etnarovich, who coordinates efforts with civic organizations, announced that 156 apartments from this building will receive financial support of 10,800 UAH for each registered family member (totaling 355 people) from the NGO «Tenth of April» with support from Mercy Corps.
