From now on, Children's Protection Day in Ukraine will be celebrated on November 20, in line with World Children's Day.

This decree No. 355/2025 “On Children's Protection Day” was signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on May 30.

The document states that this decision supports the protection of children's rights and interests.

When will the new Children's Protection Day be celebrated?

“To enhance the focus on childhood protection as a national priority and consolidate the efforts of international organizations, I decree: establish the celebration of Children's Protection Day in Ukraine on November 20,” - emphasizes the decree.

This document also invalidates the previous decree from May 30, 1998, which established the celebration on June 1.

The Office of the President explained that this step aligns Ukraine's celebration with international standards, increasing attention to children's rights.
