The Ukrainian parliament has passed a significant law regarding dual citizenship. President Volodymyr Zelensky officially signed it on Tuesday.

This law, which was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on June 18, introduces changes to the existing regulations on acquiring and retaining Ukrainian citizenship.

Zelensky emphasized that dual citizenship will create stronger legal foundations for the unity of Ukrainians worldwide, as well as for those who have connected their futures with Ukraine.

He also mentioned that Ukraine can begin identifying partner countries with which this initiative will be implemented.
