Last night in the Odesa region, in the village of Stari Shompoli, a fire erupted in a house covering an area of approximately 28 sq. meters and in dry grass over an area of about 200 sq. meters.

This information was reported by the State Emergency Service.

The fire was promptly extinguished.

At the scene, a deceased individual was found (a woman born in 1946).

The cause of the fire and the extent of damages are currently being determined.

The firefighting efforts involved 2 units of equipment and 8 firefighters.
