On August 24, the National Bank of Ukraine launched a new set of silver commemorative coins in honor of Ukraine's Independence Day.

This set highlights the symbols of our statehood — the Coat of Arms, the Anthem, and the Flag.

The symbols that surround us can unite or divide, and the state symbols always remind us of our shared identity and values.

“This is an expression and significance that is felt by millions of Ukrainians around the world.

It is with pride that I present to you another achievement in numismatics that we have prepared for Independence Day,” said NBU Chairman Andriy Pyshnyy.

This commemorative coin set is dedicated to the key attributes of Ukrainian statehood — the coat of arms, the flag, and the anthem, crafted in silver.

The Trident — a legacy of the principality of Volodymyr the Great, a symbol of unity and freedom, the right to self-determination.

The blue and yellow flag — colors of the sky and wheat, symbolizing prosperity, natural wealth, and the flourishing of Ukraine.

The anthem “Ukraine Has Not Yet Perished” — a song that has uplifted the spirit of the nation for over a century and calls for struggle.

“The symbols of the state live in the hearts of each of us. They unite generations, shape national memory, and remind us that freedom is a value we carry through time! They are also immortalized on coins to remind us: Ukrainian independence has a solid foundation — our unity, dignity, and memory,” — shared the spiritual significance of the new coins, the head of the NBU.
