Last Saturday, a clean-up event took place in Odessa's Shevchenko Park, dedicated to World Cleanup Day.

The event was organized by the nationwide youth movement "Let’s do it Ukraine" along with the global initiative "Let’s Do It World". Employees from the municipal company also participated.

Approximately 200 volunteers joined the effort to clear litter from the park. The municipal service handled waste disposal.

On September 20, 2025, Ukraine, along with millions of activists from 211 countries, participated in World Cleanup Day. Residents from cities, towns, and villages came together to improve the environment by cleaning up litter and fostering a culture of cleanliness. In 2024, over 404,000 participants took part, cleaning more than 26,000 locations across 24 regions of Ukraine. Ukrainians abroad also contributed to the movement. According to international rankings, Ukraine ranked 11th among 211 participating countries.
