The Government of Ukraine has established new dates for the heating season, which will now run from November 1 to March 31. The official decree was published on the government’s website.
According to the amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution dated July 19, 2022, No. 812 «On Approving the Regulations for Imposing Special Obligations on Natural Gas Market Participants», the heating season for 2025-2026 will officially last from November 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
Previously, the heating season in Ukraine would start on October 15 and last until April 15. Local authorities had the option to adjust the start or end dates based on weather conditions, but the government ensured stable gas supplies during this period.
