New 'No Stopping' signs will soon appear along the bypass road near the Khadjibey Liman.
This decision was made to prevent the establishment of a makeshift dump in the water protection zone, as reported by the environmental inspection.
Government inspectors have repeatedly documented instances of littering along this stretch of road. Because drivers frequently stop here, the area has gradually turned into a dumping ground.
The inspection has repeatedly appealed to the Odesa City Council to restore order and prevent further pollution of the water protection area.
As a temporary measure, the Peresyp district administration proposed placing 'No Stopping' signs (3.34) in this problematic area. The infrastructure restoration service has already issued the necessary order, and the new signs will be installed shortly.
However, environmentalists emphasize that as long as the awareness level of some citizens remains low, such administrative measures are the only effective way to prevent the formation of new landfills near the liman.
