New Regulations for Starlink Terminals in Ukraine

The Ukrainian government has approved new regulations for Starlink terminals, implementing a "whitelist" for their usage. From now on, only registered terminals will be operational within the country, while all others will be disconnected. This was announced by Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
"This is a necessary response to the use of terminals by Russian forces. They are employing drones that are difficult to intercept, as they fly at low altitudes and can be controlled over great distances", – noted the minister.
According to him, the only effective countermeasure is to introduce a "whitelist" for the authorization of all terminals. This decision is being implemented with the support of SpaceX.
"The registration process will be as simple as possible. It will require just one visit to the nearest administrative service center, and it will be free and without any unnecessary bureaucracy. There will also be a straightforward online verification algorithm for businesses through the Diia portal", – added the minister.
Military personnel do not need to visit the administrative service center, as a secure channel through DELTA is already in place for them.
"You do not need to register your terminals with the military unit or provide account details. The main thing is to include your terminal in the "whitelist" to avoid blocking", – emphasized the minister.
A detailed registration guide for the terminals will be provided soon.
Earlier, Mykhailo Fedorov stated that Starlink terminals in Ukraine must undergo additional authorization for continued operation. Elon Musk also confirmed that SpaceX has taken measures to prevent unauthorized use of terminals by Russian forces.
