The Deputy Mayor of Odessa, Pavlo Vugelman, held a meeting with the head of the «UN Women» Office in Ukraine, Sabina Nicole Fraser.

Also present were the Director of the Department of Labor and Social Policy, Olena Kytaienska, and the Mayor's advisor on gender issues, Liliya Leonidova.

The main topic of discussion was the implementation of gender policy at the local level.

The participants discussed the status of projects aimed at assisting victims of domestic and gender-based violence.

They also reviewed the city’s efforts in combating violence, including the establishment of specialized support services - day centers and mobile teams for social and psychological assistance.

Additionally, representatives from the «UN Women» Office conducted a monitoring assessment of women’s rights and vulnerable populations in Odessa.

Based on the report, the city will receive technical and methodological support in addressing gender-based violence.
