From November 3 to 11, the village of Boyany in the Chernivtsi region hosted the Ukrainian boxing championship for boys and girls born in 2011-2012. A total of 370 athletes from 22 regions of Ukraine participated in the event.

The Odesa region was represented by students from the Complex Children and Youth Sports School No. 8, Olexandr Shchupak and Ismail Ismailov from the boxing club “Livsha.”

Olexandr Shchupak competed in the 80 kg category, achieving victory in three matches and becoming the champion of Ukraine among boys. His coaches were Volodymyr Osipchuk and Ihor Hordiienko.

In the 54 kg category, Ismail Ismailov secured three wins and a gold medal. He was trained by honored coaches of Ukraine Nureddin Alibeyli and Azer Mustafaev.

In the overall team standings among boys, the Odesa region team also claimed victory. The winners will be included in the reserve for the national boxing team of Ukraine.
