Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared a new «Easter truce».

According to the announcement, all military operations will be halted from 6 PM on April 19 until midnight on April 21.

This declaration comes amid efforts to reduce tensions.

Putin stated that «all combat actions must cease» during this period.

«We expect the Ukrainian side to respond positively as well», he added.

He emphasized that Russian forces «must be prepared for potential provocations».

As of 5:30 PM, Ukrainian officials have not commented on this initiative.
