In the early hours of Sunday, June 8, 2025, Russian occupation troops launched an attack on the Odessa region with an anti-ship missile «Onyx» and targeted Mykolaiv region with two Kh-59 guided air-to-surface missiles.

This information was reported by the Air Command «South».

Recall that just after midnight, air raid alarms were triggered in Odessa and surrounding areas. Monitoring Telegram channels reported that an enemy Su aircraft fired a missile, presumably towards Chabanka, where two explosions soon followed.

Later, it was reported that Russian forces had fired two more missiles towards Pivdenne and Chabanka, but these targets quickly disappeared from radar, and after the alert was lifted at 1:33, no further air raid alerts were announced in the region.

The «South» command also reported that the southern Ukraine air defense systems intercepted 13 enemy Shahed-type drones and other UAVs that night.
