On the night of September 6 to 7, a drone attack struck Odessa, impacting the Botanical Garden of the Odessa National University named after I.I. Mechnikov. The greenhouses and rare plants suffered damage.

“Friends, we are in trouble. We had an airstrike today. Our greenhouses have been damaged. We will need to ask for help. We must clean up the debris and salvage the surviving plants,” – wrote the garden director Lyudmila Levchuk on her page.
