The Odessa Church hosted the interactive exhibition 'Blood - Life', featuring paintings, posters, and art objects.
This exhibition creatively reinterprets the significance of blood donation, organized in collaboration with the 'Donor Odessa' project along with students and faculty from the Southern Ukrainian National Pedagogical University.
The theme of selflessness and saving lives through blood donation resonates deeply with the core principles of Christianity.
Above the altar, a mural depicting a large red spot symbolizes the blood of Jesus Christ, uniting all who gather in worship.
'During donation, people exchange blood regardless of their nationality or religious beliefs. If we believe in one God, all other divisions should take a back seat. Today, we aim to showcase our unity and willingness to help one another,' said Pastor Alexander Gross during the opening.
The event also recognized students and faculty members who significantly contributed to the exhibition's creation.
Among the participants were renowned artists and faculty who collectively created over 40 works that illustrate the beauty of donation and encourage life-saving efforts.
This is the first exhibition in Ukraine featuring 3D art objects dedicated to blood donation, held at a cathedral.
The exhibition is open to visitors for the next month.
Address: 68 Novoselskogo St., Church.
Entry is free.
