From February 2 to 6, 2026, Odesa will hold a Cancer Awareness Week.

This event is organized with the support of the Odesa Health Department and the city health center in connection with World Cancer Day, celebrated every year on February 4.

During this week, everyone is invited to visit their family doctors, who will conduct preventive examinations and, if necessary, issue electronic referrals for cancer screenings: breast ultrasound or mammography for women, PAP test for women, PSA test for men, fecal occult blood test, and chest X-ray or fluorography.

To receive free preventive examinations, you must contact your family doctor with whom you have a declaration. If you do not have a declaration, you can sign one with a family doctor at the healthcare facility you visit.

Timely diagnosis helps identify precancerous conditions and malignant tumors at early stages, which are effectively treatable.
