On December 5, 2024, Odesa will host the event titled «Odesa Accessible for All».
The primary goal of the conference is to unite the efforts of local authorities and businesses to develop a barrier-free environment in tourism and hospitality.
This issue has been identified as a pressing topic by the National Tourism Organization of Ukraine for 2024. Despite the challenges posed by wartime, Odesa continues to welcome both domestic and foreign tourists, making it vital to focus on infrastructure accessibility and inclusivity in tourism.
The special guest of the forum will be Oleksandr Budko (call sign Teren), a Ukrainian military veteran of the Russo-Ukrainian war, public figure, athlete, and writer. He lost both limbs during the Slobozhansky counteroffensive in 2022 but continues to engage actively in public life, advocating for inclusion and veteran support. Oleksandr is a medalist of the «Invictus Games - 2023» in swimming and the author of the autobiographical novel «The Story of a Stubborn Man».
Representatives from hotels, restaurants, museums, theaters, medical institutions, tour guides, and anyone interested in fostering an inclusive environment are invited to attend the conference.
