The Municipal Enterprise «Municipal Green Trust» in Odesa has commenced the planting of summer flowers. The new floral compositions will feature salvias, geraniums, begonias, petunias, ageratum, tagetes, and chlorophytum.
The first summer flowers have already adorned the partially renovated Stock Exchange Square and the flowerbeds near the Primorsky District Administration, replacing the spring blooms. This year, a total of 350 thousand summer flowers are planned for planting.
According to the Municipal Green Trust, summer flowers will be planted throughout all city districts in place of spring blooms that have already faded.
Additionally, today the greenkeepers planted 72 bushes.
Perennial plants such as junipers, hibiscus, and broom are being planted with a closed root system for better adaptation to the urban environment.
Younger plants have beautified the divider on Nebesna Sotnia Avenue and Prince Yaroslav the Wise Avenue.

All floral seedlings for summer and vertical greening are cultivated in the greenhouses of the «Rose» section. Annually, around 1 million plants are grown here, including 200-250 thousand spring flowers and 500 thousand other seedlings.
Starting in September, preparations for next year's greenhouses commence. On 5 hectares, there are 4,000 square meters of greenhouse complexes and 2,000 square meters of hotbeds. This operation is managed by 29 greenkeepers and 3 engineering technicians.
The first spring flowers, such as daisies and violas, beautify the city in early April, later replaced by summer blooms.
The Municipal Green Trust also manages over 547 hectares of land, including parks, squares, and boulevards.
