In the heart of Odesa, at 12 Kinna Street, the specialists of the social project «Thousand Doors of Odesa» have restored the authentic oak doors of the Lamzaki building.
This building was constructed in 1912 based on the design of the architect Oleksandr Holtzvurm. This was reported by the social project «Thousand Doors of Odesa».
What was restored
During the restoration, experts removed multiple layers of old paint from the wooden doors, followed by treating them with special glaze and oil. The craftsmen also replaced lost elements, including the heels, trim strips, and the capitals of the transom.
In addition to cosmetic restoration, the glass in the doors was replaced, significantly improving the lighting in the entrance. Now the doors close with an automatic closer, and modern electric mortise locks ensure security.
