Russian Strikes on Odesa and Surrounding Areas
On December 23, Russian occupiers once again attacked the port of Odesa using strike drones. A civilian vessel under the flag of Lebanon, transporting Ukrainian soybeans, was damaged in the attack.
Additionally, on the night of December 22, Russian forces targeted Odesa’s port and energy infrastructure, resulting in containers filled with flour and oil catching fire at the "Pivdenny" port.
One of the largest assaults on Odesa and the region occurred on the night of December 13, when a significant portion of the area, including Odesa, was left without electricity, water, and heating, with the city of Artsyz suffering the most damage.
Occupiers have also begun to intensively shell the bridge in Mayaki on the Odesa - Reni highway, complicating access to border crossing points and western settlements in the region. Authorities and transport services have developed alternative routes.
