Every day, approximately 180 employees of KP «Miskzelentrest» work to maintain the green zones in the city. They care for trees, flowerbeds, clean up after natural disasters, plant young trees, and beautify the city with flowers.

Since the beginning of the year, the landscapers have pruned 81,187 rose bushes and conducted formative pruning of 464 decorative weeping trees.

On their designated territories, they have sown lawn grasses over an area of 18,723 sq. m and weeded flowerbeds covering 164,183 sq. m. They have removed 2,519 dry branches from trees, and cleaned up debris over an area of 42,988 ha, clearing lawns of branches, leaves, and rubbish totaling 164.68 cubic meters.

Traditionally, each spring, the landscapers start creating new floral compositions. This year, they planted 2,880 sq. m of spring flowerbeds, which included daisies, selene, violets, and others. After the spring flowers wilt, they replace them with summer flowers. A total of 4,117 sq. m of summer flowerbeds have been created from seedlings (salvia, tagetes, geranium, cineraria, ageratum, coleus, etc.). Additionally, 41,476 perennial plants (chrysanthemums, miscanthus, yucca, hydrangeas, irises, euonymus, and others) were planted.

Last summer, the city was adorned with 88 floral bowls for vertical landscaping.

All flower seedlings for spring and summer flowerbeds, as well as flowers for vertical landscaping, are grown annually by the specialists at KP «Miskzelentrest» in the enterprise's greenhouses, «Troyanda».

Furthermore, the enterprise continues its landscaping efforts in the streets, parks, and squares of the city. In 2024, a total of 3,246 trees were planted (3,102 broadleaf trees: maple, ash, acacia, sophora, catalpa, chestnut, soap tree; 144 coniferous trees: thuja, juniper, pine), as well as 3,104 shrubs: lilacs, mahonia, cotoneaster, boxwood, barberry).

The planting was carried out in all city districts, with all planted trees being older than 10 years, which significantly increases the likelihood of survival in urban conditions.

The enterprise is also consistently engaged in the maintenance of park furniture, children's and sports playgrounds located in the parks and squares of Odessa.

To preserve the health and attractiveness of the city's greenery, employees regularly remove advertising signs placed on trees in parks and squares, which can harm the plants.
