Yesterday, on October 8, 2024, after a lengthy renovation, the Municipal Enterprise "Service Center" reopened the well located on Krymsky Boulevard.
The construction of this well began in 2002. Currently, it is the only well serving a large population in the Peresyp district of Odessa. On average, it provides about 12-14 cubic meters of water daily (operating from 08:00 to 20:00).
The well was closed for renovation on December 1, 2023.
In early March of this year, to ensure residents had access to free drinking water, a temporary water distribution point was set up outside the well, which operated until October 8.
According to the Municipal Enterprise "Service Center," significant work was done during the renovation, including drilling an artesian well and installing new water treatment equipment and piping from the well to the facility. The company's specialists also conducted start-up and adjustment works for standard and alternative energy supply.
In March of this year, during a meeting at the Peresyp District Administration, local residents positively assessed and supported the initiative to build another well in the Peresyp district, specifically in the park area near the "Zoryany" cinema. Construction of the new well has already begun.
This well will not only serve as a source of clean drinking water but will also act as an alternative water supply in emergency situations during wartime.
