The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine is planning to initiate a new program that involves cooperation between military brigades and universities. This initiative is part of the course titled "Fundamentals of National Resistance".

In addition to theoretical knowledge, the program will include practical exercises that ensure close interaction between the military and students.

Minister Oksen Lisovyi shared this information during an interview on Radio Khartia.

He noted that such collaboration would help young people deepen their understanding of national resistance and form a proper worldview.

According to the law, universities are expected to implement basic military training starting September 1, which differs from traditional military training.

The minister emphasized that during mobilization, individuals will undergo comprehensive training before integrating into military units.

It is planned that military units permanently stationed in the region where the university is located will be able to cooperate, as well as interregional partnerships.

"Not every brigade possesses the necessary cultural level to work with universities. There are ideological aspects and value formation to consider, so that everyone acts in the same direction," he remarked.

Additionally, the material and technical base of military units is crucial, which includes training grounds, weapons, and instructors with combat experience.

Oksen Lisovyi believes that this collaboration will establish a tradition where military units take care of one or several universities, thus strengthening connections and traditions.

He also highlighted the importance of honoring fallen soldiers and supporting those injured in the war, involving students in these processes.

The idea of collaboration between military and universities arose from traditions where some institutions already have connections with military units where their graduates serve.
