Journey to Bavaria: Creativity Without Borders

From August 17 to 23, 2025, a delegation of 20 students aged 8 to 16 from Odesa Gymnasium No. 26, along with five accompanying adults, traveled to Bavaria in the Federal Republic of Germany.

The main goal of the trip was to participate in the international German-Polish-Ukrainian talent camp, Talent Academy - 2025.

During ten days, the children were immersed in an atmosphere of creativity, partnership, and trust. They worked in mixed international teams, overcoming language barriers, making new friends, and learning to collaborate effectively.

Theater, music, dance, painting, quests, and games created a space where talents flourished, mutual respect was established, and new ideas were born.

Special attention was given to cultural evenings that showcased the rich traditions of the three countries. The Ukrainian evening was a celebration of unity through the anthem and flag, the Polish evening offered hospitality, dance, and bread with honey as a symbol of togetherness, while the German evening introduced new forms of teamwork and learning through interactive games.

A true challenge and revelation was the ascent into the Alps, where a quest under the key word “Talent Academy” took place. The children searched for clues and answered questions in three languages — Ukrainian, Polish, and German. This served as a vivid example of integration, intercultural dialogue, and the practice of youth diplomacy.

The journey to Lviv, Prague, and Ulm allowed the participants to explore architectural landmarks, culture, and the modern life of European cities. For many participants, it was a reminder that Ukraine naturally belongs to the European space. An unforgettable experience was the excursion to the BMW showroom, where the children encountered the world of cutting-edge technology.

This project confirmed that the modern youth of Ukraine is ready to be part of the international community. Students from Odesa Gymnasium No. 26 not only showcased their talents but also became true ambassadors of Ukraine.

The experiences gained in Bavaria will serve as a foundation for further initiatives aimed at developing talents, integrating Ukrainian youth into the European educational space, and expanding international cooperation.

The event was held with the support of the NGO InKontakt and in partnership with the Polish school Publiczna Szkoła Podstawowa im. Bolesława Krzywoustego w Wolinie.
