As part of the Internet Safety Day initiative, a series of interactive seminars titled “Your Information Security” and “Cybersecurity in Our Lives” were conducted for students in Odesa's general secondary education institutions. The primary goal of these events is to educate children on the safe use of the internet and how to identify fake information.
During the seminars led by Denis Popkov, a senior lecturer at the Department of Information Technologies and Cybersecurity at Odesa National University, students explored topics including: the fundamentals of media literacy; safe smartphone usage; risks associated with free Wi-Fi networks; and the adversary’s operations in the information space and the "Internet" (manipulations, IPSO).
This series of seminars represents a significant step towards enhancing children's awareness of cybersecurity, equipping them with greater confidence in navigating online environments.
