During the week, a UNESCO conference on school management, Project Schools - 2024, took place in Berlin.
The Odesa Mariinsky Lyceum was represented by students and teachers at the conference.
As part of the Ukrainian-German project for the recreation of children and teachers from the Ukrainian Network of Associated Schools of UNESCO, the Odesa students visited educational institutions in Berlin, exchanged experiences with peers from other countries, and learned about the peculiarities of the German education system.
Moreover, the conference participants had the opportunity to explore the history, culture, and architecture of Berlin, including visits to the East Side Gallery — a globally recognized segment of the Berlin Wall transformed into a street exhibition, the Brandenburg Gate — a symbol of unity and peace, Checkpoint Charlie — a site that recalls the divided Berlin and the Cold War, and the New Museum, featuring artworks from various eras.
