For a week, representatives of the «Barrier-Free» organization visited public schools in the city of Odessa, conducting a series of events focused on the theme of “Accessibility”.

The meetings aimed to increase students' awareness of the importance of accessibility and to foster a tolerant attitude towards individuals with disabilities.

During the events, students were taught that accessibility is an essential part of a society where everyone should feel comfortable, regardless of gender, age, or physical differences, and where equal rights and opportunities are provided for all.

Interactive lectures, workshops, and role-playing games were organized as part of the program, helping participants understand the barriers faced by people with disabilities and learn how to interact effectively with them.

Guests also shared information about initiatives already implemented in our city to improve conditions for individuals with inclusion.

The purpose of these events was to cultivate sensitivity, compassion, humanity, tolerance, mutual respect, and social responsibility among students.

The “Barrier-Free” organization was established to support people with disabilities, veterans, and individuals with war-related disabilities and their families. It works on protecting the rights of mobility-impaired groups and promoting the principles of accessibility, inclusion, and barrier-free environments. The year 2025 has been declared the year of accessibility in Odessa.
