Recently, an event was held at a local gymnasium organized by forensic specialists, Police Captain Maksym Pasichny and Senior Lieutenant Yulia Sokerchak.
The specialists shared modern methods of evidence collection and analysis, which are crucial for solving crimes. Special attention was paid to how criminals leave traces at crime scenes. Later, the forensics experts demonstrated the contents of their kits and how to properly lift fingerprints.
«Anyone interested had the chance to play the role of a forensic specialist and perform fingerprinting on a classmate. The students quickly grasped that quality evidence collection is essential for crime solving and performed their tasks with the seriousness of true professionals», said Police Captain Maksym Pasichny.
The students were particularly interested in the real-life experiences of police officers, which highlighted the importance of quick and quality work in investigating serious crimes. Additionally, law enforcement officials presented a video showcasing the work of a forensic expert involved in high-profile cases, including crime scene investigations of missile strikes.
At the end of the event, the police officers informed the graduates about the education at police academies under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which prepare officers for police work.
«I believe that such meetings help young people to consciously choose their future profession, and I would be delighted if any of the gymnasium students decide to join the National Police of Ukraine», concluded Senior Lieutenant Yulia Sokerchak.
