Today, April 8, around 9:00 AM, a tragic road accident took place on the Odesa-Reni highway near the village of Sarata in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. According to the Odesa region police press service, a 47-year-old woman from the Plakhtiyivka community, driving a Chevrolet passenger car towards Sarata, veered into the oncoming lane. As a result, her vehicle collided with a Mercedes truck with a semi-trailer heading towards Odesa. The woman was hospitalized but sadly succumbed to her injuries. The truck driver, a 51-year-old resident of the Podilskyi district, will undergo a sobriety test. An investigative team and patrol police officers are working at the scene. Legal qualification will be determined after the circumstances are clarified.
