Last week, a significant scientific and practical conference titled “Rehabilitation, Recreation, and Healthy Lifestyle 2025” was held in Odesa. This event was organized by the Rehabilitation Management Association in collaboration with Odesa National Medical University.

During the conference, the current state and future prospects of the rehabilitation service in Odesa and Southern Ukraine were presented. The experience of Odesa in creating opportunities for veterans to engage in adaptive sports, including participation in international competitions, garnered significant interest. The effectiveness of this method of medical and psychological rehabilitation and the integration of Ukraine's defenders into society was highlighted.

Additionally, discussions focused on the organization of a patient-centered approach in rehabilitation services, exemplified by City Clinical Hospital No. 10. Experts from City Hospital No. 8 shared their experiences in integrating rehabilitation infrastructure with the natural environment, utilizing training areas that replicate natural and urban settings.

It was noted that Odesa possesses a strong medical and recreational potential for developing a comprehensive rehabilitation system in Southern Ukraine.
