According to the investigation, the individuals involved attempted to export agricultural products with unverifiable origins through supply chains linked to fictitious companies.
The Odesa regional agency reported that an agritrader who tried to illegally export soybeans has reimbursed over 14.5 million UAH in unpaid taxes. It was revealed that the suspects used counterfeit documents for agricultural products to create the illusion of legitimate business operations and exported 7,500 tons of soybeans to Turkey and Romania. The investigation found that the suspects sought to export products whose origins were not documented, utilizing supply chains involving fictitious firms. The Bureau of Economic Security noted that as a result of these actions, the company avoided paying 14.5 million UAH in taxes. During searches at the Odesa port and grain terminals in the Chernivtsi region, detectives seized over 6,000 tons of soybeans loaded onto a vessel, as well as 1,600 tons of soybeans in 32 railway cars. The total value of the confiscated products exceeds 103 million UAH. It is noted that the company voluntarily reimbursed the unpaid taxes, and the funds have already been transferred to the budget. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing under Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and the full list of individuals involved in the illegal activities is being established.
Earlier, it was reported that a court in Odesa ordered a foreigner, who counterfeited branded clothing, to pay over half a million UAH in fines and compensation.
