Members of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine's Maritime Security joined the «Donor Odessa» initiative, organizing a collective blood donation event.

The collaboration between border guards and volunteers will help save numerous lives. In the current climate, where war continues, the demand for blood donations remains critical.

«We understand how vital it is to have blood reserves, especially during wartime. This is an invaluable resource that can save the lives of our comrades, injured civilians, and anyone in need of urgent assistance,» say the border guards involved in replenishing the city's blood bank.

This is not the first time the border guards have participated in such an initiative - they believe assistance should be consistent rather than a one-time event.

Today, blood donation represents another line of defense for Ukraine.

The event was part of the charitable project «Weeks of Good Deeds».

Since the escalation of the war, the «Donor Odessa» project has been actively engaging blood donors for the city's medical facilities and organizing educational and cultural events aimed at promoting donation. Thanks to its efforts, over 12,000 blood donations have been made, saving thousands of lives.
