The Reni branch of the State Enterprise «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority» has begun repairs on four berths in the Reni Sea Port — No. 15, No. 23, No. 26, and No. 27. The contractor was selected through an open tender in the Prozorro system. The total value of the contract is 12.1 million UAH.
The necessity for these repairs stems from the significant physical wear of the berthing infrastructure, with most structures being in use since the 1960s to 1980s. According to technical inspections conducted in 2024 by specialists from «ChornomorNDIproject» together with the Ukrainian Shipping Register, serious damages were identified — cracks, deformations, metal corrosion, and other defects that pose risks to the safety of berthing operations.
The project includes repairs and reinforcement of structures, replacement of damaged metal components, upgrading of mooring bollards and gangways, installation of new fenders, and marking according to current standards.
The work is being carried out without stopping port activities and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
