A fire broke out in the Berezivka district of the Odessa region on the premises of an abandoned house. During an attempt to extinguish the fire independently, a woman was injured and suffered burns. This was reported by the State Emergency Service.

The incident occurred yesterday, June 25, in the village of Kozlove. On Hryhorii Skovoroda Street, dry grass and shrubs were burning on the grounds of the abandoned property. Firefighters, along with the local fire brigade, managed to contain the blaze. During the self-extinguishing attempt, a 77-year-old woman sustained burns to her right leg.

"The fire was extinguished over an area of 0.05 hectares. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and there are no damages reported. One unit of equipment and five rescuers from the State Emergency Service were involved, along with one unit of equipment and two personnel from the local fire brigade," the statement read.
