A fire erupted in a residential building in the Odessa region. During an attempt to extinguish the flames on their own, two individuals suffered burns to their face and hands and were hospitalized. This information was provided by the emergency services press office.

The incident occurred yesterday, July 5, in the Izmail district. In the village of Stari Troyany on Shkilna Street, the roof of a residential house and an outbuilding caught fire. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, covering an area of 60 square meters.

"Unfortunately, during their attempt to put out the fire, two people were injured: a man born in 1959 and a woman born in 1954. They sustained moderate burns and were taken to the hospital. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are being investigated. One unit of equipment and three firefighters from the emergency service were involved, along with one unit of equipment and two members of the local fire brigade," the report stated.
