CHARITY FOOTBALL MATCH: event to support Ukrainian military intelligence held in Kyiv
On July 12, at the «Dynamo» stadium, stars from the arts, sports veterans, and military intelligence personnel came together for the charity match «MAGURA UNITED» to support the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine.
The event aimed to raise funds for the purchase of advanced MAGURA drones for military intelligence.
Before the match, the National Anthem of Ukraine was played, followed by a moment of silence to honor those who lost their lives for Ukraine's independence.
Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov thanked the players for their support of military capabilities.
“MAGURA is not just a naval drone; it represents Ukrainian innovation recognized worldwide due to successful operations. We have recently confirmed five records achieved by military intelligence using these drones. Thank you to everyone supporting MAGURA,” said Kyrylo Budanov.
The first symbolic kick was made by a special forces soldier from GUR known as “Khan,” who operates the latest naval drones.
The match featured two teams: “Victory Formula” and “Ukrainian Artists' Team,” comprising actors, athletes, TV hosts, musicians, volunteers, veterans, and military service members. Coaches were Oleksandr Holovko and Oleksandr Khatskevych.
Participants included musicians, actors, and former footballers like Yevhen Khacheridi and Vitaliy Lysytskyi.
“During the fundraising for a new batch of MAGURA drones, we have already raised over 30 million UAH. These funds financed the production of MAGURA V7 strike drones and W6P reconnaissance drones. Thank you to everyone who participated in the fundraising and organized the charity match. The collection continues,” said Diana Podolyanchuk, head of the charity fund.
