A significant fire erupted on private property in the outskirts of Odesa. Several buses, trucks, debris, and dry grass were engulfed in flames. A woman sustained burns while attempting to extinguish the fire herself and was promptly hospitalized. This was reported by the State Emergency Service press office.
The incident occurred yesterday, July 24, in the village of Sukhy Liman. On Dnipro Street, an inferno broke out among abandoned vehicles, construction debris, and dry grass. Firefighters swiftly controlled the blaze, preventing it from spreading to adjacent residential buildings.
"As a result of the fire, 5 buses were destroyed, and 1 truck was damaged. During the self-extinguishing attempts, the owner, a woman born in 1945, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The cause of the fire and the extent of damages are currently being investigated. A total of 3 fire trucks and 10 firefighters from the State Emergency Service, as well as 1 vehicle and 3 personnel from the Citizen Safety Center 'Avangard', were deployed to the scene," the statement reported.
